Pragmatics and Early Learning Skills

The Do2Learn website has a free area with a feelings game, early learning games, social play paper dolls, and fine motor worksheets. The site also has picture cards, but I don't recommend using these since they consists of black and white line drawings. The feelings game is one of my favorites! Students can identify basic emotions based on facial expressions. It is mistake tolerant because it allows multiple attempts if student clicks on the wrong answer. Great for students with autism spectrum disorder, asperger's syndrome, and speech/language students working on pragmatics. My other favorite activity on this website is the 3-step sequencing game. First, the individual is shown a video demonstrating the task. Then, the user has to put the items in the correct order. Mistake tolerant and a great exercise for following directions and sequencing. Other interactive games on this site target the following skills: identifying colors, counting, identifying number sets, community safety, synonyms/antonyms, and much more.
